Internet privacy question?

I asked this before but it put it in the wrong category. My workstation is on an unsecured WIFI connection, basically they have a wind-stream DSL modem that goes into a linksys wired router and that has a wireless gateway that i use. now this can be used by anyone that can get signal, so i was wondering if I delete my history or use the "inprivate" browser can they find out what I've been browsing. its just netflix and stuff like that not but not appropriate for work.
