The Large Hadron Collider (LHC)?

I'm not clear why you are asking this question in Astronomy & Space rather than Physics. The LHC is a physics apparatus for testing the physics of colliding particles. It really has absolutely nothing to do with astronomy or space, except for a marginal connection in testing conditions just after the Big Bang occurred, which is only one small part of its mission.
