Engine Light "On" 2004 Dodge Intrepid?

The other day, I pulled out of a parking lot and the gas pedal sputtered a little, then got going fine. My engine light came on. After I got it home, the next morning, the light was off. Four days of driving later, I started it up and it imediately stalled (maybe I didn't turn the key good enough) then started it right up. I got to the first stop sign, and it stalled again. Started right back up and drove it home. Now I am asking what the problem could be?
