Runtime errors 106 & 1090?

I've done 3 complete, clean reinstalls of yahoo messenger 8 and I am still getting runtime errors when I double click names to talk (error 106) and click on the magnifying gl in the message window (error 1090). I've uninstalled and updated java, I have the latest version of .net, and all updates from Microsoft for XP. Has anyone had any success fixing these errors? Thanks!
