Do i have appendicitis?

ok so i have had pain in the lower right hand side of my stomach for about 3 weeks. i know it sounds like a long time. it isn't very severe. i ca live with it but i'm just worried about whats wrong with me. i have gone to webmd.com and the symptoms say you have had pain for more than 4 hours just 4 hours and i've had it for weeks so i don't know if it is appendicitis. it also says you should have a fever, feeling sick, and not wanting to eat, and it should hurt more when you are moving. i have none of these symptoms. but when i lay on my stomach and put preasure on it it doesn't hut as much. also i have diarhea and the website says appendicitis doesn't make you have diarhea. i haven't told my family that it hurts and i haven't gone to the doctor because i don't want to feel stupid if the do tests and don't find anything wrong with me. i did start birth control about 4 weeks ago but the pain doesn't really seem to be anywhere near that general area of my stomach. so what should i do sos
