Do editors from major fashion magazines (vogue, etc.) get store & designer discounts?

Do editors who work at major fashion magazines like Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, etc. get store discounts & designer discounts? I've read in some places that they do get 10-30 % off some designers and stores. Also do the editors get lots of freebies (shoes, clothes, bags, etc.) & lots of party invites? Do they get to meet and befriend famous designers? Is the lifestyle glamorous? I would just like to find out a little more about this career field since I am considering pursuing it once I get out of high school! Thanks!
